Turkey's coordinator in the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad holds a dialogue meeting

Turkey's coordinator at the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad held a dialogue meeting with the Secretary-General of the Popular Congress, Munir Shafiq, and the Acting General Assembly of the Conference, Majed Al-Zeer, at the conference headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey. Dialogue was moderated by the head of the coordination, Dr. Saeda Abu Al-Baha, with the participation of a number of members of the coordination.

The meeting dealt with a number of themes, the most prominent of which were "the reality of the Palestinian cause and the next stage for it, and the existing arrangements for holding a second general conference for the Popular Conference for Palestinians abroad."

The Secretary-General of the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad, Munir Shafiq, spoke about the international political reality and its repercussions on the Palestinian cause.

Shafiq said that "the current stage is the most important stage in the history of the conflict with 'Israel'."

He added, "The Zionist entity has become much weaker today than it was, as it was defeated in 2006 in Lebanon, and has also been defeated more than 4 times in its wars on Gaza."

And he indicated that the most important phenomenon in the current international situation is America's inability to control and lead the international situation, as there are internal indicators in America that threaten dangerous divisions in the political situation and it is losing its presence, due to the emergence of a group of competitors such as China and Russia, which they face militarily and economically .

He pointed out that Europe's relationship with America is deteriorating and that there is a complete chaos in the world, explaining that the weakness of the global situation is beneficial to the Palestinian cause, and that the next stage is a stage of resistance and sacrifices.

Shafiq stressed that the current circumstances of the Palestinian resistance's defiance of "Israel" by bombing "Tel Aviv", the steadfastness of Jerusalemites in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the uprising of the occupied Palestinians inside against "Israel", restored the compass to the true identity of the Palestinians.

He said that " 'Israel', with its current practices, is trying to recover what remains of its prestige that was defeated in the battle of Sayf al-Quds."

He stressed that "Israeli" project to displace the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and storm Al-Aqsa Mosque should not pass.

And he indicated that the next battle with "Israel" will be over Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In the context of his speech, he also called for the necessity of activating the role of Islamic peoples and countries in the conflict with "Israel" and motivating them to come out in support of the Palestinian cause.

For his part, the Acting General Assembly of the Conference for Palestinians Abroad, Majed Al-Zeer, spoke about the work of the Popular Conference and the role of Palestinians abroad in supporting the Palestinian cause where he divided the roles into four stages, which are “arranging the internal situation of the Palestinians within the Palestinian identity, confronting the Zionist project, and attributing the Palestinians inside, in addition to directing the opinion of the Palestinians abroad as partners in decision-making.”

He stated that the General Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad, which will be held next February, is a Palestinian political event to achieve the quartet or the four roles he mentioned.

During his participation in the dialogue, Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad, Hisham Abu Mahfouz, said: "We have greater entitlements and responsibility, now that the conference has gained extensive international relations. We are facing a greater role in expanding these international relations."

Abu Mahfouz emphasized that Palestinians abroad are part of the Palestinian political component and that they can find an opportunity for them to participate in the political process.

He called for the necessity of working for the national project, pointing to their serious work to hold the next popular conference.
