Normalization is a Stab in the Back of the Palestinian Cause and Treason of the Nation, Hisham Abu Mahfouz

The Deputy Secretary of the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA), Hisham Abu Mahfouz, stressed that the normalization accords signed with the Israeli occupation are “a stab in the back of the Palestinian people and its sacrifices, as well as a treason of the nation’s central cause, being a part of the US-propagated deal of the century and the attempts at liquidating our people’s rights for the benefit of the occupation.”

He added that PACA will be launching several initiatives to caution against the threats posed by the normalization with the Israeli occupation.

In a statement to Quds Press, Abu Mahfouz said: “In the framework of combatting all campaigns of normalization with the Israeli occupation, the PCPA has set up numerous anti-normalization on the ground and virtual events.”

He warned against the repercussions of these accords, saying that:

“They will affect the Arab and Islamic nations, not only Palestine and its people, for these accords mean harm only to the states that have normalized with the occupation,” adding that “the popular stand on the matter, of the Arab and Islamic nations, which reject normalization with the Zionist entity, are highly valued.”

He added:

“Arab normalization with the occupation is a trigger to regain support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people,” stressing that “these accords will go unfulfilled given the popular will of Arab and Islamic nations and the free spirits of the world, who refuse all forms of normalization with the occupation.”

“The enemy made sure to include normalization in the deal of the century, which to put into effect it will need an Arab incubator, which manifested in the Arab normalization deals. However, this normalization is one of regimes, not of peoples. We hope that people be the firm barrier in the face of the occupation’s plans.”

He added:

“As Palestinians, today were are supposed to invest in the situation, achieve Palestinian national unity, rebuild the Palestine Liberation Organization as to include all Palestinians, and allow Palestinians abroad to have a role in the decision-making process and the national project until all efforts seeking the liquidation of the Palestinian cause are aborted, the Oslo Accords and the security coordination with the occupation are dissolved, which we are to benefit from as breakthrough to national unity on the road to combating the occupation, ending its aggression against the Palestinian people and helping refugees return.”

Addressing the Palestinian factions, Abu Mahfouz said:

“They must hold tight to unison in the face of the plans aiming at burying the Palestinian cause, which have relocated from the US to some Arab capitals in the form of normalization and peace deals with an aggressor and occupier entity, necessitating that all concerned Palestinian organizations, inside Palestine and in the diaspora, be involved in the project supporting the efforts of Palestinian unity.”

Last week, Bahrain and the UAE signed two normalization accords with Israel at the White House, under the auspice of the US President Donald Trump, ignoring the wrath with which the Arabic public responded to these accords.
