Anti-annexation sentiments are in harmony inside and outside Palestine, Hisham Abu Mahfouz
Hisham Abu Mahfouz, Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA), stressed the importance of popular diplomacy in facing the Israeli plans, aiming at annexing the Jordan Valley and areas in the occupied West Bank, resorting to popular action inside and outside Palestine that reflects the Palestinian rejection of the plans.
“The Palestinian events witnessed in Europe in opposition of the annexation plans are in harmony with the Palestinian position and support the Palestinian steadfastness inside Palestine,” Abu Mahfouz told Lana Wakfa/We have a Stand program, aired by TRT Arabi.
Abu Mahfouz added that it is essential for a popular uprising to break out in the occupied West Bank, as to challenge the Israeli plans, demanding that the Palestinian Authority allow the people a space to combat and abort the Israeli schemes.
The Deputy-Secretary-General pointed out that the occupation has tuned the conditions in the area in a manner suitable for the execution of the settlement-based plans, relaying to do so on seeking a normalization with a few Arab regimes.
He praised the official and popular Jordanian refusal of the annexation plans, calling for a similar attitude from Arabs and Muslims as to back Jordan and Palestine in the struggle against the policies of settlement and Judaization.
